Mystery shawl 4 complete

I have finished the Mystery shawl 4. It is a pi shawl knit with Malabrigo black. I had to change colour on hte edging because I was running out of black. I used Paris nights for the edging. I didn't get the name of the pattern until I was partway finished. The original shawl by Renee is called Desert sunrise and is a bautiful gold colour. I guess I picked the wrong colour for the name. I decided to rename my shawl keeping with the same theme. Mine will be called "Solar Eclipse over the Desert". It was a fun knit and my first Pi shawl. Thanks Renee.

I haven't been to Australia or the South Pacific yet so that is where I would like ot visit.

Fleece Artist hand dyed yarn, Baby Kid or Kid Silk

5) If you won a shopping spree to your favorite yarn store, what would you get?

Lace weight yarn, Fleece Artist wool, Zepher, Silk, Denise Knitting needles, cashmere, Big Girl Knits, Shawl patterns, etc., etc., etc. (How much is this winning spree, anyway?)

UFOs

This week I have decided to work on my UFOs. (that's UnFinished Objects, for you non knitters). I am up to the edging on my Frost Flowers and Leaves shawl. I am also back working on my Starfish Shawl from Just One More Row. I haven't worked on these since last fall.
I also want to finish my Mystery shawl 4. I am on the 4th repeat of clue 4. I will probably do at least one more repeat.
I figure, if I get these finished, then I will feel less guilty about all the new projects I am starting. OK, who am I kidding....what guilt?
This is a good time to work on UFOs since I am on a yarn diet. Not allowed to buy anymore yarn till at least January. Donations accepted. LOL. Will knit for yarn. LOL

Not A Nerd!?

Well, I took the test (see sidebar) and I am not a nerd! However, it also said I was not totally cool either.
I think it is bad enough that I took the test to find out. Get a life!

Here is the Flower Basket shawl from Interweave knits. I made it for a friend for her birthday. 

Mystery stole 2006. Clue 1 completed. I am using a light blue baby loop mohair and a brown alpaca wool worked together. I am using 3.75mm needles. On to clue 2 

Newest addition to our family. Her name is Lacey and she is 7 weeks old. She is so cuddley and she purrs as soon as you pick her up. She loves to sleep under my neck. 

We only have a couple of these, but are they ever pretty. Not sure what they are but we are having fun. 

These purple flowers are comming up among the lillies. I have no idea what they are, but they are pretty. 

Here is a whole row of these lillies. They are all along the back of the house. 

Flowers in our back yard. It is our first summer in this house so we don't know what is growing here. We are having a lot of fun when things blossom. 

Here is the newest addition to our family. Her name is Lacey and she is about 7 weeks old. Here she is sleeping in my daughters tote exchange project. She is so cute. 

It's Official, I'm crazy. Here I am knitting a wool sweater for my sun on the beach while camping. We went to Rushing River Provincial Park in Ontario for a few days and had agreat time. My family, however, think I am nuts to be knitting a wool sweater on the beach. 

Curves Success

I just got weighed and measured at Curves. In 4 months I have now lost 35 pounds and 30 inches. Praise God.

Sorry it has taken me so long to post. Life (and knitting) seem to get in the way. I decided on this colour scheme and ordered the eggplant from elann.com. I wanted to wait to get the colour and get a photo. In the mean time I started knitting it with the colours I had. When I got the eggplant I took a photo (or thought I did) and then had to wait fro my daughter to put it on the computer for me. We then went camping for a week. We just got back and now we can't find the photo we took. I decided to post without photo and will add that when we take another one.
If martha wants to contact me with her particulars we can pick a ball of yarn from my stash to send for the prize.
It was hard choosing what colours to use, everyone had such great ideas. I can see that more than one sweater is going to have to be made with all these ideas, but one for now.

Here is the pair of socks I was knitting for DAK. I only had to make 4 socks to get a pair. Great learning curve.
